ATTACHMENT 1 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 20- <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL OF APPLICATION TO CALRECYCLE FOR BEVERAGE <br /> CONTAINER RECYCLING CITY/COUNTY PAYMENT PROGRAMS AND RELATED <br /> AUTHORIZATIONS <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Resources Code sections 48000 et seq., 14581, and <br /> 42023.1(g), the Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) has <br /> established various payment programs to make payments to qualifying jurisdictions; and <br /> WHEREAS, in furtherance of this authority CalRecycle is required to establish <br /> procedures governing the administration of the payment programs; and <br /> WHEREAS, CalRecycle's procedures for administering payment programs require, <br /> among other things, an applicant's governing body to declare by resolution certain <br /> authorizations related to the administration of the payment program. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE, AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br /> SECTION 1: Authorizes submittal of an application to CalRecycle for any and all <br /> payment programs offered. <br /> SECTION 2: That the City Manager, or his/her designee, is hereby authorized as <br /> Signature Authority to execute all documents necessary to implement and secure payment. <br /> SECTION 3: That this authorization is effective until rescinded by the Signature <br /> Authority or this governing body. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at <br /> a regular meeting held on March 3, 2020. <br /> I, Karen Diaz, City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton, California, certify that the foregoing <br /> resolution was adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting held on the 3rd day of March <br /> 2020, by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers <br /> Noes: <br /> Absent: <br /> Abstain: <br /> Karen Diaz, City Clerk <br /> APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> Daniel Sodergren.
