RESOLUTION NO. 20-1135 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR THE FORMATION OF A LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE ASSESSMENT DISTRICT TO BE KNOWN AS BONDE RANCH LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT 2020-2 WHEREAS, the formation of the Bonde Ranch Landscape Maintenance District 2020-2 ("District") is being initiation pursuant to the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972 (the "Act"), Division 15, Part 2, Chapter 2, Sections 22585 et. seq. of the California Streets and Highways Code, for the maintenance and servicing of landscaping and other improvements; and WHEREAS, the Bonde Ranch Landscape Maintenance District 2020-2 is proposed to replace the Bonde Ranch Landscape Maintenance District 1993-2, Bonde Ranch; and WHEREAS, the Landscape Maintenance District 1993-2, Bonde Ranch will be replaced only if there is majority support for the proposed Bonde Ranch Landscape Maintenance District 2020-2; and WHEREAS, the City Council determines that said territory will be specifically benefited by the maintenance and servicing of said improvements; and WHEREAS, Section 22585 of the Act provides that the formation of Bonde Ranch Landscape Maintenance District 2020-2 shall be initiated by resolution. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. SCI Consulting Group is designated by this Council as the Engineer of Work for the purpose of these formation proceedings. SECTION 2. The proposed assessment district shall be designated as Bonde Ranch Landscape Maintenance District 2020-2, City of Pleasanton, Alameda County, California, and shall include that certain real property situated in the State of California, County of Alameda, City of Pleasanton. SECTION 3. The improvements to be made in this assessment district are generally described as follows: The maintenance and repair of designated landscaped areas, open space slopes, fuel transition zones (fire breaks), entry features, open space drainage ditches, irrigation systems, trees in the open space and designated landscape areas, and the furnishing of water and power for irrigation systems, together with all appurtenance and incidental expenses within Tract 6483 and Tract 6518, City of Pleasanton, generally shown and identified in Exhibit A attached to this resolution. SECTION 4. The City Council hereby directs the engineer to prepare and file with the City Clerk a report in accordance with Article 4 of Chapter 1 of the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972. SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this resolution and enter it into the book of original resolutions.
