RESOLUTION NO. 20-1135 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON INITIATING <br /> PROCEEDINGS FOR THE FORMATION OF A LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE <br /> ASSESSMENT DISTRICT TO BE KNOWN AS BONDE RANCH LANDSCAPE <br /> MAINTENANCE DISTRICT 2020-2 <br /> WHEREAS, the formation of the Bonde Ranch Landscape Maintenance District 2020-2 <br /> ("District") is being initiation pursuant to the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972 (the "Act"), <br /> Division 15, Part 2, Chapter 2, Sections 22585 et. seq. of the California Streets and Highways <br /> Code, for the maintenance and servicing of landscaping and other improvements; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Bonde Ranch Landscape Maintenance District 2020-2 is proposed to <br /> replace the Bonde Ranch Landscape Maintenance District 1993-2, Bonde Ranch; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Landscape Maintenance District 1993-2, Bonde Ranch will be replaced <br /> only if there is majority support for the proposed Bonde Ranch Landscape Maintenance District <br /> 2020-2; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council determines that said territory will be specifically benefited by <br /> the maintenance and servicing of said improvements; and <br /> WHEREAS, Section 22585 of the Act provides that the formation of Bonde Ranch <br /> Landscape Maintenance District 2020-2 shall be initiated by resolution. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION 1. SCI Consulting Group is designated by this Council as the Engineer of <br /> Work for the purpose of these formation proceedings. <br /> SECTION 2. The proposed assessment district shall be designated as Bonde Ranch <br /> Landscape Maintenance District 2020-2, City of Pleasanton, Alameda County, California, and <br /> shall include that certain real property situated in the State of California, County of Alameda, City <br /> of Pleasanton. <br /> SECTION 3. The improvements to be made in this assessment district are generally <br /> described as follows: <br /> The maintenance and repair of designated landscaped areas, open space slopes, fuel transition <br /> zones (fire breaks), entry features, open space drainage ditches, irrigation systems, trees in the <br /> open space and designated landscape areas, and the furnishing of water and power for irrigation <br /> systems, together with all appurtenance and incidental expenses within Tract 6483 and Tract <br /> 6518, City of Pleasanton, generally shown and identified in Exhibit A attached to this resolution. <br /> SECTION 4. The City Council hereby directs the engineer to prepare and file with the <br /> City Clerk a report in accordance with Article 4 of Chapter 1 of the Landscaping and Lighting Act <br /> of 1972. <br /> SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this resolution and enter it into <br /> the book of original resolutions. <br />
