ORDINANCE NO. 2206 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> AMENDING TITLE 11, CHAPTER 11.20, SECTION 11.20.010, OF THE MUNICIPAL <br /> CODE TO SET AND REVISE SPEED LIMITS FOR EL CHARRO ROAD AND <br /> STONERIDGE DRIVE BETWEEN KAMP DRIVE AND TREVOR PARKWAY <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br /> FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION 1. Title 11, Vehicles and Traffic, Chapter 11.20, Speed Limits Section <br /> 11.20.010, Speed Limits in Certain Zones, of the Municipal Code of the City of Pleasanton, is <br /> hereby amended as follows: <br /> 11.20.010 Speed limits in certain zones. <br /> Based upon an engineering and traffic investigation and study, the prima facie speed limit <br /> shall be as set forth in this section on those streets, or parts of said streets, designated in this <br /> section when signs are in place giving notice thereof: <br /> I-1. El Charro Road: <br /> 1. From northern city limits to 1,000 feet south of Stoneridge Drive the speed limit <br /> shall be 40 miles per hour. <br /> HH. Stoneridge Drive: <br /> 8. From Kamp Drive to Trevor Parkway the speed limit shall be 40 miles per <br /> hour. <br /> SECTION 2. A summary of this ordinance shall be published once within fifteen days <br /> after its adoption in `The Valley Times," a newspaper of general circulation published in the City <br /> of Pleasanton, and the complete ordinance shall be posted for fifteen days in the City Clerk's <br /> office within fifteen days after its adoption. <br /> SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be effective thirty days after its passage and adoption. <br /> The foregoing Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the <br /> City of Pleasanton on February 4, 2020 by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Brown, Narum, Pentin, Testa, Mayor Thorne <br /> Noes: None <br /> Absent: None <br /> Abstain: None <br /> Jerry Thorne, Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Karen Diaz, City Clerk <br /> Dated: <br />
