RESOLUTION NO. 20-1132 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, <br /> ADOPTING AN AMENDMENT TO THE GENERAL PLAN, AS FILED UNDER CASE <br /> P14-0852, REGARDING A CHANGE IN LAND USE DESIGNATION FOR 12 <br /> PARCELS AT 7106 THROUGH 7315 JOHNSON DRIVE AND 7035 AND 7080 <br /> COMMERCE CIRCLE, COMPRISING APPROXIMATELY 40 ACRES KNOWN AS THE <br /> JOHNSON DRIVE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ZONE (JDEDZ), FROM BUSINESS <br /> PARK AND GENERAL AND LIMITED INDUSTRIAL TO RETAIL/HIGHWAY/SERVICE <br /> COMMERCIAL, BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL OFFICES <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied for a General Plan Amendment to <br /> change the Land Use Designation on 12 parcels at 7106 through 7315 Johnson Drive and 7035 <br /> and 7080 Commerce Circle, comprising approximately 40 acres known as the Johnson Drive <br /> Economic Development Zone (JDEDZ), from Business Park (Industrial/Commercial and Office) <br /> and General and Limited Industrial to Retail/Highway/ Service Commercial; Business and <br /> Professional Offices (the "Project"); and <br /> WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public meeting of December 11, 2019, the Planning <br /> Commission considered all public testimony, agenda reports, relevant exhibits, and <br /> recommendations of City staff concerning the proposed General Plan Amendment; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission at its regular meeting on December 11, 2019, <br /> adopted Resolution PC-2019-30, determining that the proposed General Plan Amendment is <br /> appropriate for the Project and recommending to the City Council that P14-0852 be approved; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public meeting of February 4, 2020, the City Council <br /> considered all public testimony, agenda reports, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of City <br /> staff and the Planning Commission concerning the proposed General Plan Amendment; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), a Revised <br /> Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Report (RFSEIR) was prepared and certified for the <br /> Project; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed General Plan Amendment is <br /> consistent with the Goals and Policies of the Pleasanton General Plan. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br /> Section 1. The City Council adopts an amendment to the Land Use Element of the <br /> Pleasanton General Plan 2005-2025, as set forth in Exhibit A, attached hereto and made part of <br /> this resolution by reference. <br /> Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and <br /> adoption. <br /> Section 3. City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this resolution and enter it into <br /> the book of original resolutions. <br />
