At the time this report was published, staff received one public comment about the <br /> project from Mike Cheney, owner of Valley Plumbing Home Center, Inc. located at 272 Rose <br /> Avenue (Attachment C). Mr. Cheney is objecting to the proposed indoor entertainment and <br /> music until midnight, seven days a week, component of the proposed bar. <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT <br /> This project is categorically exempt (Section 15301, Class 1, Existing Facilities) from the <br /> requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). Therefore, no environmental <br /> document accompanies this report. <br /> CONCLUSION <br /> Staff believes the required CUP findings for the project can be met if the project is approved as <br /> conditioned. Conditions of approval have been included which will ensure the safety and <br /> general welfare of the surrounding area is maintained, while minimizing spillover effects such <br /> as noise and parking. Such an action would preclude the applicant from <br /> occupying the subject site and conducting the proposed activities; or <br /> 2. Approval of the CUP with modifications.
