Fire <br /> 8. Continued to January 21, 2020 —Adopt a resolution declaring that the costs for weed abatement <br /> including administrative costs, legal fees and costs, are a special assessment and impose a lien <br /> on vacant property off Fondry Court near Foothill Road, APN 946-4585-026-00 owned by <br /> Nicholas L. Jones <br /> Nick Jones expressed concerning regarding the cost for weed abatement on his property and <br /> noted that he has mowed his property the same way for the last 5 years without issue. <br /> Deputy Fire Chief Ryan Rucker advised that the Mr. Jones was served a notice to abate; <br /> scheduled an appointment to meet with the Fire Marshall, however, the meeting did not take place <br /> and is was not rescheduled. <br /> In response to Councilmember Brown's inquiry, Deputy Chief Rucker stated that fenced <br /> properties were not part of the enforcement process in previous years and that this is the first-time <br /> enforcement was imposed on the property. <br /> The Council concurred that this item be continued to allow further discussions <br /> Human Resources <br /> 9. Adopted and waived full reading of Resolution No. 19-1127 to amend the temporary, part- <br /> time/seasonal classification salary structure <br /> Library and Recreation <br /> 10. Continued from December 3, 2019 — Moved to the regular agenda as Item 12b Introduction of <br /> an ordinance to amend Municipal Code §§2.28.030, 2.32.030, 2.34.030 and 2.39.030 to allow <br /> voting by youth members of the Human Services, Parks and Recreation, Library and Civic Arts <br /> Commissions as recommended by the Youth Commission <br /> Police <br /> 11. Adopted and waived full reading of Resolution No. 19-1128 approving the Citizen's Options for <br /> Public Safety Program (COPS) year 23 appropriation <br /> MOTION: It was m/s by Pentin/Narum to approve the Consent Calendar as submitted and as <br /> noted.
