ATTACHMENT 6 <br /> THE CITY OF <br /> P , <br /> Economic Vitality <br /> me pi 21121 less <br /> �" Committee <br /> LEASANTON Minutes <br /> October 5, 2017 <br /> 7:30 a.m. <br /> Pleasanton Library Community Meeting Room <br /> 400 Old Bernal Avenue <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Meeting called to order at 7:35 am by EVC Chair Barbara Steinfeld. <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Committee members present were Barbara Steinfield, Will Doerlich, Christina Nystrom <br /> Mantha, Kristen Hayes Kuse, Ellen Pensky McGraw, Steve Baker, PUSD Trustee Jamie <br /> Hintzke, Olivia Sanwong, Council member Arne Olson, Chiman Lee, Sylvia Tian, Angel Moore <br /> and Betsy Edwards. Committee members not in attendance were Kareen Knowles, Janet <br /> Yarbrough, Scott Raty, Shareef Mandavi and Esther Yu. Guests in attendance were Angela <br /> Ramirez Homes, Tony Perino and Brad Hirst. City staff present were Director of Community <br /> Development Gerry Beaudin, Permit Center Manager Melinda Denis, Planning Manager Adam <br /> Weinstein, Associate Planner Eric Luchini, Traffic Engineer Mike Tassano, Management <br /> Analyst Sean Welch, Director of Finance Tina Olson, Director of Engineering Steve Kirkpatrick, <br /> Office Assistant Shawn Harris and Director of Economic Development Pamela Ott. <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> Angela Ramirez Homes, a consultant for Costco, offered that she is at the meeting to answer <br /> questions and noted several comments: Costco has a purchase option on the prospective <br /> property within the Economic Development Zone; Costco will be making parking investments <br /> at each of its Tri-Valley locations; the Pleasanton Costco will include a gas station; the square <br /> footage of the proposed Costco will be larger than the Danville store and smaller than the <br /> Livermore store. <br /> Nearon Enterprises' president Tony Perino, as a property owner within the Economic <br /> Development Zone, offered his availability to confirm the uses of the parcels and support for <br /> the EDZ. He confirmed that Nearon intended to sell the properties for the proposed Costco and <br /> hotel(s) projects. <br /> UPDATE, DISCUSSION AND INPUT REGARDING JOHNSON DRIVE ECONOMIC <br /> DEVELOPMENT ZONE <br /> Director of Community Development Gerry Beaudin offered an overview of the Johnson Drive <br /> Economic Development project, including the recent direction by the City Council relative to <br /> the financing of required transportation improvements associated with the Economic <br /> Development Zone (EDZ). He reported that after the EVC's review, the project will move <br />
