THE CITY OF 8 <br /> --LEAS`AN,TO CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> p <br /> February 4, 2020 <br /> Finance <br /> TITLE: APPROVE THIRD AMENDMENT TO THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES <br /> AGREEMENT WITH ACCOUNTING PRINCIPALS, INC., dba AJILON <br /> PROFESSIONAL STAFFING <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The Finance Department entered into a Professional Services Agreement with <br /> Accounting Principals, Inc., dba Ajilon Professional Staffing (Ajilon), for temporary <br /> staffing services in the amount of $100,000 in December of 2016. Two amendments <br /> were executed that extended the agreement term to June 30, 2020 and increased the <br /> amount to $250,000. The Finance Department has steadily used Ajilon's services since <br /> 2016 to backfill for multiple employees on extended leaves or to backfill vacant <br /> positions. The department has an employee scheduled for an extended leave of <br /> absence within the next month and anticipates invoices exceeding the current contract <br /> balance of$13,735. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Staff recommends that the City Council approve the Third Amendment to the <br /> Professional Services Agreement with Accounting Principals, Inc., dba Ajilon <br /> Professional Staffing, extending the agreement term to December 30, 2021 and <br /> increasing its value by an additional $100,000. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The actual costs for temporary staffing are budgeted by the departments utilizing the <br /> services. The Finance Department has accounted for anticipated temporary staffing <br /> expenditures in its budget. <br />
