If spilled, these <br /> substances could pose a risk to the environment and to human health. In the <br /> event of a spill, the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department is responsible for <br /> responding to non-emergency hazardous materials reports. The use, handling, <br /> and storage of hazardous materials are regulated by both the Federal <br /> Occupational Safety and Health Administration (Fed/OSHA) and the <br /> California Occupational Safety and Health Administration (Cal/OSHA). The <br /> City has in place an Emergency Response Plan should a spill or a hazardous <br /> event take place. Therefore, this impact would be less than significant. <br /> c) Residential uses proposed for the site are not associated with substantial use, <br /> storage, or transportation of hazardous substances. Therefore, the proposed <br /> project would not pose a hazardous emission risk to Hearst Elementary School <br /> and Pleasanton Middle School that are located approximately one mile from <br /> the project site. As a result, this would be categorized as no impact. <br /> d) The site is not included on the list of hazardous materials sites compiled <br /> pursuant to Government Code 65962.5 (Cortese List). Therefore, this would be <br /> categorized as no impact. <br /> 28 <br /> 25 <br />, subject to the review and approval of the Director <br /> of Engineering/City Engineer. Compliance with these recommendations are <br /> required as conditions of approval.
