<br />PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-99-83 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE SAN FRANCISCO WATER <br />DEPARTMENT BERNAL PROPERTY PUD DEVELOPMENT PLAN (PUD-96-06) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the San Francisco Water Department has applied for development plan approval for <br />an approximately 51 O-acre site consisting of three basic land units: a 202-acre <br />Western Parcel between Interstate 680 (1-680) and the Arroyo de la Laguna south of <br />Bernal Avenue; a triangular-shaped Central Parcel of approximately 245 acres <br />bounded by 1-680 on the southwest, Bernal Avenue on the north, and by the Union <br />Pacific Railroad (UPRR) right-of-way on the southwest; and an Eastern Parcel of <br />about 63 acres between the UPRR and the Alameda County Transportation Corridor <br />(formerly the South Pacific Railroad right-of-way) south of Junipero Avenue; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission met on June 9, June 23, June 28, July 7, July 16, <br />October 7, and October 27, 1999 and held public hearings on the completeness and <br />adequacy of the Environmental Impact Report and documents for the project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its duly notice public hearing of October 7, 1999, the Planning commission <br />recommended approval of a Final Environmental Impact Report prepared for the <br />Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing on October 27, 1999, the Planning Commission <br />reviewed the draft Specific Plan for the Bernal Property and considered all related <br />reports, documents, testimony, and recommendations; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of October 27, 1999, the Planning Commission recommended <br />approval of the draft September 1998 Specific Plan for the Bernal Property; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the comprehensive PUD development <br />plan for the Bernal Property, incorporating the February 1999 Bernal Property PUD <br />Conditions of Approval and including the Development Standards and Design <br />Guidelines is consistent with the City of Pleasanton's General Plan and the Bernal <br />Property Specific Plan. <br />
