RESOLUTION NO. 19-1128 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> APPROVING THE EXPENDITURE OF CITIZENS' OPTIONS FOR PUBLIC SAFETY <br /> PROGRAM FUNDS (COPS) <br /> WHEREAS, at its meeting of December 17, 2019, the City Council was presented a report <br /> recommending the use of Citizens' Option for Public Safety (COPS) funds received from the <br /> State, as outlined in Section 30061 of the Government Code and in accordance with AB 1584. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION 1. The City Council hereby approves the recommendations for expenditures <br /> of COPS Year 23 which support front line law enforcement functions and serve to enhance public <br /> safety. This allocation will be utilized to purchase an electronic documentation system to support <br /> officers' issuance of citations in the field and facilitate the required AB 953 Racial and Identity <br /> Profiling Act (RIPA) data collection. <br /> SECTION 2.
