THE CITY OF 2 <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> PLEASANTON <br /> December 17, 2019 <br /> City Manager <br /> TITLE: APPROVE THE RE-NOMINATION OF ARNE OLSON AS PLEASANTON'S <br /> REPRESENTATIVE ON THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE COUNTY OF <br /> ALAMEDA HOUSING COMMISSION <br /> SUMMARY <br /> In May 2018 the City Council approved the nomination of Arne Olson to fill the unexpired <br /> City of Pleasanton representative seat on the Housing Authority of the County of <br /> Alameda (HACA) Housing Commission. Mr. Olson's term expires December 31 , 2019. In <br /> anticipation of the end of his term, the Council need to nominate a representative to the <br /> Commission for a four-year term beginning January 1, 2020 and ending on <br /> December 31, 2023. There is no limitation as to the number of terms a commissioner <br /> may serve. <br /> Mr. Olson has expressed his interest in serving another term on the Housing <br /> Commission, and the Authority would very much like to see him continue. He has <br /> actively participated on the Commission and is a member of Commission's sub- <br /> committee tasked with overseeing the recruitment of the Authority's next Executive <br /> Director. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Approve the re-nomination of Arne Olson as Pleasanton's Representative on the HACA <br /> Housing Commission. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> There is no fiscal impact. <br />
