THE CITY OF <br /> Bicycle, Pedestrian & Trails <br /> LEASANTON Committee <br /> Agenda Report <br /> December 9, 2019 <br /> Item 4 <br /> SUBJECT: REVIEW THE SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE WEST LAS <br /> POSITAS BOULEVARD BICYCLE AND PEDESTRIAN CORRIDOR <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The City and Toole Design Group have been working on the West Las Positas Boulevard (WLP) <br /> bicycle and pedestrian corridor improvement plan, which focuses on completing the top ranked <br /> corridor from the master plan and creating a continuous, east-west bikeway in north Pleasanton <br /> providing access to neighborhoods, employment centers and schools. The Bicycle, Pedestrian <br /> & Trails Committee serves as the Advisory Committee for the process. <br /> Toole provided staff with the online survey results and cost estimates for the draft alternatives <br /> for the West Las Positas corridor. Staff is reviewing this information and will present it at the <br /> December 9th BPTC meeting. In addition, staff will provide a recommendation for a preferred <br /> design alternative/s. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> It is recommended that the Bicycle, Pedestrian & Trails Committee review the survey summary, <br /> preliminary cost for alternatives and provide direction to staff on the recommended alternative/s. <br /> ACTION <br /> Provide direction and/or recommendation on preferred alternative/s. <br /> Submitted by: <br /> Matt Nelson <br /> Associate Traffic Engineer <br />
