THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON, <br />Economic Vitality <br />Committee <br />Minutes <br />September 19, 2019 <br />7:30 a.m. <br />Remillard Conference Room <br />3333 Busch Road, Pleasanton <br />CALL TO ORDER/INTRODUCTIONS <br />Meeting called to order at 7:32 a.m. by EVC Chair Christina Nystrom Mantha. Committee <br />members present and introduced were Christina Nystrom Mantha, Councilmember Julie Testa, <br />Ellen Pensky McGraw, Steve Van Dorn, Harsh Gohil, Shareef Mandavi, Olivia Sanwong, <br />Esther Yu, Chiman Lee, Barbara Steinfeld, Tiffany Cadrette, Steve Baker, Sylvia Tian, Kristin <br />LaPorte, and PUSD Trustee Jamie Yee with Glen Sparks. Committee members not in <br />attendance were Will Doerlich, Jeffrey Chen and Kristen Hayes Kuse. Guest was Tri -Valley <br />Regional Occupational Program Superintendent Julie Duncan. City staff present were <br />Economic Development Office Assistant Nicole Rodriguez, Economic Development Specialist <br />Lisa Adamos and Director of Economic Development Pamela Ott. <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br />EVC Chair Christina Nystrom Mantha reordered the agenda items as follows: <br />1. Approve meeting minutes of August 15, 2019 <br />2. Presentation and Discussion Regarding Work -Based Learning Opportunities and <br />Potential Partnerships <br />3. Update on Local Business Support Program <br />4. City Council Liaison Report <br />5. Receive Economic Development Information/Updates <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />There was no public comment. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />The August 15, 2019, meeting minutes were approved as presented on motion by Steve Van <br />Dorn and second by Shareef Mandavi by a vote of 12-0-1 with Barbara Steinfeld abstaining. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS AND OTHER MATTERS <br />Discussion Regarding Work -Based Learning Opportunities and Potential Partnerships <br />Tri -Valley Regional Occupational Program Superintendent Julie Duncan provided an overview <br />on the Tri -Valley Regional Occupational Program (TVROP): <br />
