CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA ORDINANCE NO. 623 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE 2, CHAPTER 8, OF TITLE II OF THE ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, RELATING TO SEWER CONNECTION FEES FOR INDUSTRIAL AND COMMERCIAL USES. :THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: I. Subsection C of Section 2-5.13 of Article 2 of Chapter 8 of Title ~of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton relating to sewer connection fees for commercial and industrial uses is hereby amen- ded, said amended subsection to provide as follows: "62-15.13 Connection Charges. (c) For each commercial or industrial building as defined herein or other miscellaneous unclassified uses a sum 'C' established by the following formula: C = V x 1/3 ~02,200 (1 + SOD + ss)x $350 250 ~0. where: V = Estimated total yearly volume of discharg~ from the building, in gallons; B0D = Estimated average B0D of the waste discharged; ss = Estimated average suspended solids of waste discharged. In the event that any of the factors V, B0D or ss are found to have been estimated too low or too high such that the collected fee was 10% or more lower or high- er than the correct fee; or if the customer's dis- charge has been increased in volume or strength, the City shall bill or reimburse the customer for the difference in connection fees. Payment of any such additional fees shall be a condition of continued service by the City. No reimbursement shall be due if the customer has reduced the volume or strength of discharge." II. This ordinance shall be published once within 15 days after its adoption in "THE TIMES", a newspaper of general circulation, pub- lished in the City of Pleasanton, and shall be in force on the thirty-first day after adoption.
