CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 621 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING VARIOUS SECTIONS OF TITLE II OF THE <br /> ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RELATING TO THE <br /> REGULATION OF THE KEEPING OF HOUSEHOLD PETS <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br /> FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> I. <br /> <br /> Section 2-5.21 of Article 2 of Chapter 2, of Title II of the Ordi= <br /> nance Code of the City of Pleasanton is amended by the addition <br /> thereto of a new subsection (h) relating to the definition of <br /> household pets, said subsection as added to provide as follows: <br /> <br /> "2-5.21 (h) · Household pet. <br /> Means any animal of a domesticated species kept <br /> inside a dwelling or any dog or cat kept on the <br /> same premises by the occupant of a dwelling. <br /> The term shall not be deemed to include any <br /> rabbit, fowl, pigeon, sheep, goat, hog or other <br /> livestock kept in the open or in an accessory <br /> structure." <br /> <br />'Code of the City of Pleasanton relating to permitted uses <br /> Districts is amended by the addition thereto of subsection (g), <br /> said subsection as added to provide as follows: <br /> <br /> "9 2-6.13 Permitted Uses. <br /> The following uses shall be permitted: <br /> <br /> Section 2-6.24 of Article 6 of Chapter 2 of Title II of the Ordi- <br /> nance Code of the City of Pleasanton relating to Permitted Uses in <br /> R-M Districts is amended by the addition thereto of subsection (g) <br /> said subsection to provide as follows: <br /> <br /> "9 2-6.24 Permitted Uses. <br /> The following uses shall be permitted: <br /> <br /> Not more than two weaned household pets excepting <br /> fish and caged birds." <br /> <br /> <br />
