City Council action at the September 17 meeting included discussion and approval of a <br />Conditional Use Permit (CUP) for new axe -throwing establishment within specified parameters <br />related to age of participants and alcohol service. The Council also determined to move <br />forward with joining the East Bay Community Energy's Joint Powers Authority, which gives <br />residents an opportunity to receive cleaner, more sustainable energy than what is currently <br />offered by PG&E. Residents will have the option to join or opt out. Councilmember Testa also <br />shared that Workday donated $500,000 to a future Pleasanton library. <br />INFORMATION UPDATES <br />Pamela Ott reviewed the Upcoming Meetings and Events listing. She also noted included in <br />the agenda packet were the Small Business Workshop flier and the City's Q1 2019 Sales Tax <br />Update. Ms. Ott also shared the Mayor's Annual Commissions and Committees Celebration <br />Dinner will be on November 14 at the Palm Event Center. <br />PDA Executive Director Tiffany Cadrette gave a brief update on the recent and future business <br />openings in downtown Pleasanton. <br />The 2018-2019 Visit Tri -Valley Annual Report video was played for the EVC members. <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY ECONOMIC VITALITY COMMITTEE <br />No matters were initiated. <br />MEETING ADJOURNED <br />The meeting was adjourned at 9:10 a.m. <br />
