CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 619 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE UNIFORM MECHANICAL CODE, 1970 <br /> EDITION, AND AMENDING CHAPTER 7 OF TITLE II OF THE ORDINANCE <br /> CODE OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, RELATING TO THE ADOPTION OF <br /> THE UNIFORM MECHANICAL CODE AND REQUIREMENTS FOR INSTALLATION <br /> AND MAINTENANCE OF HEATING, VENTILATING, COOLING AND REFRIGER- <br /> ATION SYSTEMS, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF <br /> ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, notice has been duly given and published, and hearings <br />:iiheld pursuant to the provisions of Article 2, Chapter 1, Division 1~, <br />n~Title 5 of the Government Code relating to the adoption by refer- <br /> ence of Uniform Codes and no sufficient protest having been made, <br /> and the best interests of the City of Pleasanton appearing to be <br />~served by the adoption of this Uniform Plumbing Code; <br /> <br />!~NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />i~HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> I. <br /> <br />~.92-14.28 of Article 1, Chapter 7, Title II of the Ordinance Code ofi <br />'~.the City of Pleasanton, relating to the adoption of the Uniform <br />~!Mechanical Code, is amended to provide as follows: <br /> <br /> "92-14.28 Adoption of Uniform Mechanical Code. There is herebyi <br /> adopted by the City of Pleasanton that certain code known ast <br /> the 1970 Edition, Uniform Mechanical Code, more particularlyi <br /> described below, except such portions as are hereinafter <br /> amended, modified or deleted, and the same is hereby adopted <br /> and incorporated as fully as if set out at length herein, <br /> and the same shall become in full force and effect at the <br /> time this Ordinance becomes effective. Said Uniform Mechan-! <br /> ical Code is the 1970 Edition, copyrighted by International <br /> Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials, a certi- <br /> fied copy of which is on file with the City Clerk of the <br /> City of Pleasanton." <br /> <br />~92-14.29 of Article 1, Chapter 7, Title II of the Ordinance Code of <br />!!the City of Pleasanton, relating to amendments to and modifications <br />'of the adopted code, is amended to provide as follows: <br /> <br /> 892-14.29 Amendments~ Modifications~ Additions to and Deletions <br /> from the Adopted Code. The Adopted Code is hereby changed <br /> in the following respects: <br /> <br /> a. Amendments or Modifications. <br /> 1. Wherever in the Adopted Code the words Building <br /> Official are used, they shall mean the Director of <br /> Public Works of the City of Pleasanton or his agent <br /> as defined in Section 2-14.33 of this chapter. <br /> <br /> 2. Section 304 is amended to read as follows: <br /> 'Section 304 Mechanical Permit Fees. A fee for each! <br /> mechanical permit shall be paid to the City prior to~ <br /> issuance of the permit. Such fee shall be in the <br /> amount set forth in a fee schedule adopted by resolu~ <br /> tion of the City Council. Such fee shall be doubled~ <br /> where work for which a permit is required by this <br /> Code is started or proceeded with prior to obtaining~ <br /> <br /> <br />
