ORDINANCE NO. 2194 EXHIBIT A Page 19 of 28 18.84.140 Height limits—Measurement Except as otherwise noted in this chapter, the height of a structure shall be measured vertically from the average elevation of the natural grade or finished grade, whichever is lower, of the ground covered by the structure to the highest point of the structure including parapet or to the coping of a flat roof, to the deck line of a mansard roof, or to the mean height between eaves and ridges for a hip, gable, or gambrel roof. The height of an accessory structure shall be measured from the lowest grade adjacent to the structure to the highest ridge or top of the structure, including parapet. The height of a fence or a wall used as a fence shall be measured from the higher finished grade adjoining the fence or wall. The average height of a wall of a structure shall be deemed the height of the wall. 18.84.150 Height limits—Exceptions.
