for their continued support and advised that a total of 311 units of service had been provided to <br />309 households. She commented on the different areas of assistance they have been able to <br />provide that includes rent assistance, subsidized housing, shared housing, etc. <br />Abode Services — Rapid Re -Housing Program, Katie Fantin — provided details about the <br />program and help they provide in finding housing and rental subsidy. She advised that ten <br />households moved into housing, three of which were in Pleasanton. Abode tries to get people <br />stabilized. Commissioners were provided information about several projects in which Abode <br />was able to provide assistance and felt this had been a good year helping Pleasanton residents. <br />Chairperson Soby asked about carry-over funds and was provided information about better <br />coordination and the hard work and diligence of the Abode team working on the program. <br />Abode Services — HOPE Street Outreach, Kate Dettmer - advised that the program serves <br />chronically homeless individuals and performed 147 outreach visits and provided services <br />getting individuals ready for housing by providing tangible items. 153 units of service were <br />provided and 201 contacts made. Five chronically ill individuals were housed. <br />Chairperson Soby asked about the work of this group with the Pleasanton Police Department. <br />Ms. Dettmer advised that they don't work side-by-side with members of the Police Department <br />but do meet with them to work on issues and how best to connect with individuals and provide <br />services. Chairperson Soby questioned if Abode works with CityServe and was advised they <br />are separate entities but do sometimes need to work together. <br />Commissioner Duggan was informed that Abode stays with individuals for about a month or until <br />a connection with other services has been met. <br />Commissioner Galvin was provided information by Ms. Dettmer about other locations that <br />Abode provides services. <br />Chairperson Soby discussed with Mr. Hernandez administration of the HOPE Street Outreach <br />program by CityServe. <br />There being no further agency representatives in attendance Chairperson Soby closed the <br />meeting for agency reports. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />The meeting was adjourned at 8:33 p.m. by unanimous consent. <br />DATED: <br />Page - 5 - <br />Steve Hernandez, Housing Manager <br />
