The original Vesting Tentative Map approved in 2007 identified the street name to be Austin Place. However, since the applicant never submitted for a final map or improvement plans, the street name was never finalized. The owner of the property is now moving forward with finalizing their improvement plans and final map. As part of the review process, the previously-selected street name was routed to all internal life-safety responders and it was determined that Austin Place was no longer an acceptable street name since within the last 12 years it had been used in the City of Livermore and would create a conflict for first responders. The applicant has provided a new name request for the new public street, which is "Kingbird Court." Therefore, the proposed street name is before the Planning Commission for consideration. The proposed street name has been reviewed and found to be acceptable for use by the appropriate life-safety responders and City staff. RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends that the Planning Commission approve the public street name of"Kingbird Court," as shown in the attachment, for the approved development (PUD-58).
