BACKGROUND <br /> The Operations Services Department's Support Services Division is responsible for <br /> managing the outfitting and repair services for all City vehicles and equipment. There <br /> are over 300 vehicles and equipment that could be serviced through this agreement. <br /> Outfitting services range from emergency lighting for public safety vehicles, utility boxes <br /> and sign boards for trucks and various parts and equipment repairs. <br /> DISCUSSION <br /> The as-needed contract for vehicle outfitting and repair services expired on January 30, <br /> 2019. Therefore, a Request For Bids (RFB) was formally advertised in July 2019. One <br /> bid proposal was received on July 11, 2019 from Stommel Inc., DBA Lehr and was <br /> confirmed to meet the bid requirements. The City has worked with Lehr for vehicle and <br /> equipment outfitting since 2014 and has been satisfied with their service.
