L CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pL£ASANTON. <br /> August 20, 2019 <br /> Operations Services <br /> TITLE: APPROVE AMENDMENT WITH ALAMEDA COUNTY IN THE AMOUNT <br /> OF $275,000 FOR OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE SERVICES FOR <br /> THE WATER AND SEWER SYSTEMS AT CASTLEWOOD SERVICE <br /> AREA <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The City of Pleasanton (City) entered into an agreement with Alameda County (County) <br /> to provide operation and maintenance services for the water and sewer systems located <br /> in the Castlewood Service Area (CSA). The agreement spans three years from July 1, <br /> 2017 to June 30, 2020. The current not-to-exceed amount of the agreement is <br /> $675,000. <br /> The County desires the City to perform additional extraordinary maintenance projects as <br /> defined in Exhibit A of the Agreement during the current term. These additional <br /> extraordinary maintenance projects are estimated to cost $275,000 and result in a new <br /> not-to-exceed amount of $950,000 for the agreement. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Staff recommends the City Council approve and authorize the City Manager to execute <br /> an amendment with the County in the amount of $275,000 for operation and <br /> maintenance services for the water and sewer systems at the Castlewood Service Area. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> There is no financial impact to the City caused by this amendment. The City will be <br /> reimbursed for services provided to the County under this amendment. <br />
