<br /> Jennifer, I received the planning commission notice regarding a proposed axe throwing lounge at 1801 Santa
<br /> Rita Road. As a resident of Danbury Park and also as a member of the Board of Directors of the homeowners'
<br /> association at that complex, I wish to register my extreme opposition to any such establishment of an indoor
<br /> axe throwing lounge.
<br /> I cannot believe in this age of mass shootings and increased violence, that the city would allow such an
<br /> establishment across the street from a residential development and adjacent to numerous apartment
<br /> complexes. This establishment should not be allowed in this location or at all in my opinion in the city.
<br /> The city's obligation is to keep it's residents safe. Such an establishment in my opinion would be an attractive
<br /> nuisance. Is this establishment also going to have a liquor license? That would be an even more volatile
<br /> combination — liquor and axe throwing. Ridiculous.
<br /> This is not a use that should be approved. The application for a conditional use permit should be denied.
