ATTACHMENT 1 RESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON AMENDING THE MASTER FEE SCHEDULE TO UPDATE THE EXISTING LIBRARY AND RECREATION FEES WHEREAS, the existing fee schedule does not indicate the correct name of the department; and WHEREAS, many of the fees listed are outdated or no longer current; and WHEREAS, some of the language listed in the fee schedule was outdated or incorrect and required amending. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: Section 1: Amends the Master Fee Schedule as follows: VIII — Recreation A. General Refund Service Charge Refunds are not granted if requested later than 5 working days prior to the first class meeting. Full refunds will be given for any classes canceled by the department. Aquatic refunds are limited to special circumstances only. I $5.00 Nonresident Fees (a nonresident is any person not living within Pleasanton property tax limits) Classes $30 or less $3.00 Classes over$30 10% Late Fees (per class) Registration is considered late if completed after the time the class begins. $2.00 B. Other Fees A separate fee schedule for Recreation programs is adopted annually by the City Council. City Council authorizes staff to adjust fees and charges for services and facilities up to 20% of the approved fees and charges without resubmitting the adjustment to the City Council. The City Council authorizes staff to adjust to provide new programs/classes at a fee based on the cost of service or established guidelines, and that fees for such programs or classes be submitted to the Council for approval within a one-year period from initiation of the class or program. The cost of fee classes should be set to attempt to return the full cost of the instructor(s) and materials plus an additional 30% for program supervision and office support. Three times a year an Activities Guide is published which sets forth the available programs and the current fee schedule. Please contact the Library and Recreation Department for information regarding current fees. 1 Section 2: City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this resolution and enter it into the book of original resolutions. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at a regular meeting held on the 16th day of June, 2019.
