THE CITY OF 2 <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pLEASANTON <br /> July 16, 2019 <br /> City Manager <br /> TITLE: DESIGNATION OF VOTING DELEGATES FOR 2019 LEAGUE OF <br /> CALIFORNIA CITIES ANNUAL CONFERENCE <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The League's 2019 Annual Conference is scheduled for October 16 - 18 in Long Beach. <br /> An important part of this Conference is the Annual Business Meeting. At this meeting, <br /> the League membership considers and takes action on resolutions that establish <br /> League policy. In order to vote on the proposed resolutions the City Council must <br /> designate a voting delegate and alternate in advance of the conference. <br /> Currently, both Mayor Thorne and Councilmember Pentin are registered to attend the <br /> Conference. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Designate Mayor Thorne as the City's voting delegate and Councilmember Pentin as <br /> the alternate for the 2019 League of California Cities Annual Conference. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> There is no financial impact as a result of this action. <br /> Submitted by: Approved by: <br /> Karen Diaz Nelson Fialho <br /> City Clerk City Manager <br />
