NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton, based on the entire record of proceedings, including the oral and written staff reports and all public comment and testimony: Section 1: Recommends that the City Council approve a General Plan Amendment as shown on the attached Attachment 1, including amendments to the General Plan Land Use Map referenced in Attachment 4 and accompanying table referenced in Attachment 6. Section 2: Recommends that the City Council rescind the 2002 Downtown Specific Plan and adopt a new Downtown Specific Plan. Section 3: Recommends that the City Council approve amendments to the Downtown Design Guidelines as shown on the attached Attachment 3. Section 4: Recommends that the City Council approve an amendment to the Downtown Hospitality Guidelines to revise the boundary of the Downtown Specific Plan area as shown in the specific plan. Section 5: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission finds that the Downtown Specific Plan and the proposed amendments to the General Plan, the Downtown Design Guidelines, and the Downtown Hospitality Guidelines are consistent with the Goals and Policies of the Pleasanton General Plan; and WHEREAS, The Planning Commission determines that this is the second of the four times in 2019 that the Land Use Element of the General Plan may be amended as provided in Government Code Section 65358. 5 the Downtown Design Guidelines. Task Force Input The Task Force is requested to consider and provide a recommendation to the Planning Commission and City Council for adoption of the Draft Downtown Design Guidelines Amendments. 2 Note: There are a large number of such figures, and they have not been updated for this Task Force meeting, but will be provided in advance of the Planning Commission and City Council's action to adopt the amendments.
