This program offers <br /> limited funding to community-based non-profit organizations that provide needed human <br /> services assistance and arts/cultural activities to Pleasanton residents. In FY 1995/96, <br /> the City recognized the need to address youth services, and a youth category was <br /> added. In FY 2010/11, the City implemented the Housing and Human Services Grant <br /> (HHSG) program, which combines federal CDBG and HOME funds and the City's LIHF <br /> and General Funds allocated for housing and human services into a single streamlined <br /> grant program. The arts/culture and youth components of the former City Grant <br /> program were combined to form the current "Community Grant" (CG) program. For <br /> many grant cycles, the City Council has annually allocated $40,000 in General Fund <br /> dollars each to the arts/cultures projects and to youth projects. <br /> Page 9 of 11 <br />
