The City's FY 2019/20 HHSG program will provide funding during the period of July 1, 2019, through June 30, 2020, i.e., the FY 2019 grant funding cycle. HHSG applications for funding were solicited from December 13, 2018 through January 22, 2019. Twenty-seven (27) applications were received by the January 22 deadline with a total funding request of $1,095,937 (or $1,119,121 including the required Section 108 loan payment for FY 2019/20) (Attachment 1). As in previous years, applications were divided up for review by either the Human Services Commission or the Housing Commission. The Human Services Commission reviewed the majority of the applications and provided recommendations for programs funded through CDBG and from the General Fund for human services. The Housing Commission reviewed applications which were housing-related and were eligible for funding from the City's LIHF and federal HOME funds. DISCUSSION Table 2 summarizes the composite level of funding available for the FY 2019 HHSG program. The FY 2017 and FY 2018 funding levels are listed for comparative purposes. Page 2 of 11
