Access to Local Talent Pool Drawn to <br />Quality of Life <br />The Tri -Valley's most valuable asset is its <br />people. A highly educated Workforce is drawn <br />here for a number of reasons, including quality <br />schools, more affordable real estate, vibrant <br />downtowns, World-class Wineries, contemporary <br />breweries and generous open space. <br />Tri -Valley cities regularly receive national <br />recognition for being among the best places <br />to raise a family and for having the highest <br />quality of life. According to a WalletHub study <br />in 2o18, Tri -Valley cities topped the charts as <br />the "Best Cities in California to Find a Job." <br />San Ramon ranked #1, Danville came in at <br />#3 and Pleasanton, Livermore and Dublin <br />took the #6, #8 and #14 spots, respectively. <br />Criteria included median starting salary, <br />employment growth and housing costs? <br />The STEM nature of Tri -Valley companies and <br />the presence of the National Labs creates <br />a demand for individuals with advanced <br />degrees, attracting foreign -born science and <br />engineering professionals into the region. <br />"The Labs are a talent magnet," according <br />to Brandon Cardwell, Executive Director <br />of i -GATE Innovation Hub in Livermore. <br />Award-winning public schools continue to be <br />a significant draw.
