THE CITY OF 1 0 <br /> -•• #`° "` --� CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pL£ASANTON <br /> May 7, 2019 <br /> Operations Services <br /> TITLE: APPROVE AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT WITH RUBICON <br /> ENTERPRISES INC., INCREASING THE NOT TO EXCEED AMOUNT FROM <br /> $99,999 TO $105,000 FOR INCREASED FREQUENCY OF TRASH <br /> COLLECTION SERVICES AT CUBBY'S DOG PARK <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The Parks Division of the Operations Services Department is responsible for the <br /> collection of trash and recyclables within City owned parks and trails. The City has been <br /> under agreement with Rubicon Enterprises Inc (Rubicon), since July of 2015 to perform <br /> removal services. Due to increased community use at Cubby's Dog Park, the current <br /> trash removal schedule does not provide an acceptable level of service. Staff is seeking <br /> to amend the current agreement to increase trash collection frequency. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Authorize the City Manager to amend the agreement with Rubicon Enterprises Inc. by <br /> increasing the not to exceed amount from the third agreement amendment amount of <br /> $99,999 to a new total of $105,000. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The agreement with Rubicon is funded by the Parks Administration budget under <br /> garbage expenses. Adequate funding is available in the Parks operating budget to <br /> accommodate the additional $5,001 being requested to cover the increase for the <br /> remainder of the fiscal year. <br />
