Exhibit 1
m •
MARK THOMAS
April 1, 2019
Mr. Mike Tassano Project No.:AL-18104(001)
City of Pleasanton
P.O. Box 520
Pleasanton, CA 94566-0802
RE: STONERIDGE ROW TRANSFER —ADDITIONAL SERVICES LETTER
Dear Mr.Tassano:
Per our discussion, Mark Thomas & Company, Inc. (Mark Thomas) has prepared this
proposal to the City of Pleasanton (City)for additional services related to the Right of Way
Transfer to Caltrans for the I-680/Stoneridge Drive Interchange project. During
inspection of the site it was determined that due to the amount of vegetation and location
of existing monuments, the field searching and boundary resolution effort of work would
be significantly increased from what was originally expected. It has also been discovered
that five (5) encumbrances need to be cleared from project parcels before transfer to
Caltrans.
The following scope of services is submitted to document the additional time needed for
tasks 5.1 and 5.2.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
Task 5.1 Establish Existing Conditions
The original scope and budget assumed monuments would be accessible without traffic
control and through GPS survey methods. When uncovering monuments, it was
discovered that sound walls and vegetation prevent GPS methods from meeting Caltrans
standards and a traverse will be necessary. It is also clear that work near the shoulder of
the freeway will be necessary to see through dense vegetation, necessitating traffic
control. These additional field hours, processing time and traffic control (as an ODC)are
shown on the attached hours estimate.
ADDITIONAL DELIVERABLES
• Traverse adjusted coordinates for monuments
MARKTHOMAS.COM
