RESOLUTION NO. 19-1072 <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN UPDATED <br /> REVENUE SHARING AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RELATED TO <br /> PROVIDING FIRE PROTECTION SERVICES TO THE DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS <br /> AFFAIRS LIVERMORE MEDICAL CENTER (VA HOSPITAL) <br /> WHEREAS, The City of Livermore and the Veterans Administration entered into an <br /> Agreement in May 2018 in which the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department Joint Powers <br /> Authority will provide fire protection services to the VA Hospital Livermore, and <br /> WHEREAS, A Modification to the Agreement to provide a 4th Firefighter to the initial <br /> responding company has been negotiated resulting in changes to the associated personnel costs <br /> and increases to the payment schedule. <br /> WHEREAS, The City of Livermore will fund 100% of the cost to provide the 4th Firefighter <br /> and will therefore receive 100% of the additional VA Hospital funding to cover the cost of the 4th <br /> Firefighter, and <br /> WHEREAS, The Revenue Sharing Agreement between the City of Livermore and the City <br /> of Pleasanton has been updated to reflect these changes, and <br /> WHEREAS, Staff recommends that the City Council authorize the City Manager to sign <br /> the updated Revenue Sharing Agreement between the City of Livermore and the City of <br /> Pleasanton. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE, AND ORDER THE <br /> FOLLOWING: <br /> SECTION 1: Approves and authorized the City Manager sign the updated Revenue <br /> Sharing Agreement between the City of Livermore and the City of Pleasanton. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at <br /> a regular meeting held on April 16, 2019. <br /> I, Karen Diaz, City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton, California, certify that the forgoing <br /> resolution was adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting held on the 16th day of April, <br /> 2019, by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Brown.
