BACKGROUND
When Pleasanton Police Department vehicles reach the end of their service life they are
surplused. These vehicles are typically five years old and are no longer financially
feasible to maintain. Revenue from the sale of these vehicles is estimated by Fleet staff
to be $1,500 to $2,000 per vehicle.
This donation request supports the community partnership between the Pleasanton
Police Department and Las Positas Community College. This will directly benefit the
Administration of Justice Degree Program, which is centered entirely on preparing
students for job entry with a California law enforcement agency.
Submitted b : Fiscal eview: Approved y:
‘'
Kathleen Yurchak `-`- Tina Olson Nelson Fialho
Director of Operations and Finance Director City Manager
Water Utilities
Attachment:
1.
