CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 591 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING LOWER PRIMA PACIE SPEED <br /> LIMITS ON CERTAIN STREETS WITHIN THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> I. <br /> <br /> On the basis of engineering and traffic investigations with <br />respect thereto, there is hereby added to the traffic regulations <br />of the City of Pleasanton the following regulations relating to <br />speed limits on the following streets within the City of Pleasanto~: <br /> <br /> 1. Valley Avenue Speed Limit <br /> <br /> The prima facie speed limit on Valley Avenue from the <br /> west line of Tract #2904 to Hopyard Road shall be 35 <br /> miles per hour. <br /> <br /> 2. Hopyard Road Speed Limit <br /> <br /> The prima facie speed limit on Hopyard Road from Valley <br /> Trails Drive to the north end of the Del Valle bridge sh~ <br /> be 45 miles per hour. <br /> <br /> 3. TassaJara Road Speed Limit <br /> <br /> The prima facie speed limit on Tassajara Road between St <br /> Highway 50 and Santa Rita Road shall be 50 miles per <br /> hour. <br /> <br /> 4. Santa Rita Road Speed Limit <br /> <br /> The prima facie speed limit on Santa Rita Road from its <br /> intersection with Tassajara Road to a point 100 feet <br /> of Valley Avenue shall be 50 miles per hour. <br /> <br /> 5. Hopyard Road Speed Limit <br /> <br /> The prima facie speed limit on Hopyard Road from Highws <br /> #50 to Valley Trails Drive shall be 55 miles per hour. <br /> <br /> II. <br /> <br /> The speed limits hereinabove fixed shall become effective <br /> <br /> <br />
