RESOLUTION NO. 19-1066 <br /> RESOLUTION ADOPTING A COUNCIL POLICY REGULATING SMALL WIRELESS <br /> FACILITIES PURSUANT TO PLEASANTON MUNICIPAL CODE CHAPTER 18.110 <br /> WHEREAS, Pleasanton Municipal Code section 18.110.010.B authorizes the City to adopt <br /> a policy that establishes the rules and procedures by which the City reviews permit applications <br /> for small wireless facilities; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City has developed such a regulatory policy for small wireless facilities, <br /> which is attached to this resolution as Exhibit A, and incorporated herein by this reference (the <br /> "Policy"); and <br /> WHEREAS, subject to certain limitations in federal and California law, the City Council <br /> finds that the Policy is consistent with the provisions and intent in the General Plan, Pleasanton <br /> Municipal Code chapter 18.110, and other applicable provisions; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Policy will, to the extent permitted by federal <br /> and California law, protect and promote public health, safety and welfare, and also balance the <br /> benefits that flow from robust, advanced wireless services with the City's local values, which <br /> include without limitation the aesthetic character of the City, its neighborhoods, and community. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton as <br /> follows: <br /> 1. The above recitals are true and correct and incorporated herein by reference. <br /> 2. City Council Policy regulating small wireless facilities, attached to this resolution as <br /> Exhibit A, is hereby adopted. <br /> 3.
