have the Wye-Strainers installed within two months — prior to the onset of hot summer <br /> temperatures and the heavy irrigation season. <br /> GSE proposed a total cost for all seven locations of $203,800. This price includes <br /> purchasing and installing all necessary parts. Staff believes the cost to be fair and <br /> reasonable based upon the cost estimate prepared in-house for the work. It is <br /> recommended that City Council allocate $220,000 from Fund 518 for the work, and <br /> authorize the Director of Engineering to process change orders up to allocated amount <br /> to complete the work.
