Representatives from IAFF and
the cities of Livermore and Pleasanton met and conferred in good faith and have agreed
to a successor agreement. The final step is for
the City Council to approve the successor agreement that expires December 31, 2021.
RECOMMENDATION
That the City Council adopt a resolution approving the tentative agreement negotiated
between the International Association of Firefighters, Local 1974 and the Livermore-
Pleasanton Fire Department Joint Powers Authority.
FINANCIAL STATEMENT
The financial impact to the LPFD budget as a result of implementing the successor
Memorandum of Understanding is approximately $5.5M through December 2021. The
cost is shared by Livermore and Pleasanton. Pleasanton's share is approximately
$2.8M over the term of the contract.
