The Department shall provide a mandatory physical fitness program to the employees. <br /> Section 28. Outside Employment <br /> Employees who plan to engage in regular employment during his/her their off duty time must notify the <br /> Fire Chief of said employment in writing on the LPFD Department's Outside Employment Form. <br /> No employee shall accept outside employment that places him/ er increates a conflict with the their full- <br /> time employment with the Department. <br /> No eEmployees shall not solicit outside employment while on duty for the Department or use <br /> his4tertheir Department positions as an aid or leverage to gain outside employment. <br /> Section 29. Disability Accommodations <br /> The Department-andthe-Union recognizes that the Dept-City has an obligation under law to meet <br /> with individual employees who allege a need f request reasonable accommodation in the work place <br /> because of a disability. Miscellaneous <br /> 30.1 Deferred Compensation Program <br /> I Regular and probationary All employees are eligible to participate in the Departmenes-Employer's <br /> deferred compensation program. Any employee who chooses to participate in a deferred compensation <br /> I plan shall pay the administrative fee, if any,the Depaftment-Employer may require. <br /> Effective July 2, 2016, the City shall contribute 0.5% of the employees' base compensation into a 457 <br /> deferred compensation plan. The contribution is tax-deferred, and counts towards the 457 annual <br /> maximum deferral as designated by the IRS. Employees without an existing 457 account with a City- <br /> sponsored provider must establish one in order to receive the City contribution, but no employee <br /> contribution to the account is required. <br /> 30.2 Helmets <br /> I Department-issued bleather helmets are to remain with each individual at retirement. <br /> 55 <br />
