CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> SPECIAL AND REGULAR MINUTES <br /> October 16, 2018 <br /> SPECIAL MEETING <br /> Mayor Thorne called the special meeting to order at the hour of 6:30 p.m. <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Present: Councilmembers Brown, Narum, Olson, Pentin, Mayor Thorne <br /> Absent: None <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT β None <br /> ADJOURN TO CLOSED SESSION FOR THE FOLLOWING: <br /> CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL β EXISTING LITIGATION pursuant to Government <br /> Code §54956.9(a): Claimant Joshua Gatkin: Workers Compensation Appeals Board Case Nos. <br /> ADJ9225204, ADJ9103336, ADJ10423094, and ADJ10545582 <br /> ADJOURNMENT βThe special meeting adjourned at 6:47 p.m. <br /> REGULAR MEETING <br /> Mayor Thorne called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at the hour of 7:00 p.m. <br /> Councilmember Brown led the Pledge of Allegiance and provided opening remarks. <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Present: Councilmembers Brown, Narum, Olson, Pentin, Mayor Thorne <br /> Absent: None <br /> CLOSED SESSION REPORT <br /> City Attorney Sodergren advised that no reportable action was taken in closed session. <br /> AGENDA AMENDMENTS β City Manager Fialho stated Item No. 13 will be continued indefinitely. <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> Jeffrey Safire addressed agenda Item No. 4 and shared the requisite roads have not yet been widened <br /> as originally agreed. He expressed concerns regarding the posted traffic speeds and widening of the <br /> bridge. <br /> Mayor Thorne removed this item from the consent calendar and noted it will be discussed as Item No. <br /> 13 on the public meeting section of the agenda. <br /> City Attorney <br /> 1. Introduced and waived first reading of Ordinance No. 2185 to amend Pleasanton Municipal Code <br /> Section 3.32 and approve modifications to the Purchasing Procedures and Manual to increase <br /> monetary limits for bidding public projects consistent with the California Uniform Public <br /> Construction Cost Accounting Act <br />
