EXHIBIT A
Scope of Consultant's Services
The City of Pleasanton has two specific short-term staffing needs at this time. The first role is a
Senior/Principal-level planner that can oversee the final steps of completing the Downtown
Specific Plan. This would involve guiding the project through the final public review process,
managing the consultants who are drafting the Specific Plan and associated EIR,and ensuring
the timely and successful adoption of the plan and certification of the environmental document.
The Senior/Principal Planner is expected to provide services 25-30 hours per week on average to
manage the Downtown Specific Plan project as well as assisting with other projects as needed.
The second staffing need is a part-time Assistant-level planner to aid the Planning Division in
processing planning applications, handle inquiries at the public counter, review plan checks and
building permit applications, and other activities as deemed necessary by department
management.
Compensation
See rate sheet on next page. Time billed to the City would be for actual hours worked (travel
time to and from Pleasanton is not billed), which is expected to fluctuate based on the demands
of the project and the desires of the City. Total expenditures not to exceed $170,000.
6I 11 atge
