MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL <br /> Councilmember Brown noted Pleasanton does not have a liaison to BART and inquired that once City <br /> Council has determined its priorities, that it consider forming a BART Liaison Committee in order to <br /> address issues of concern expressed by the public. <br /> Mayor Thorne agreed, noting it would be particularly important if AB 2923 is approved. <br /> Councilmember Pentin also agreed and asked that staff include information for other cities that have <br /> liaisons to BART. <br /> City Manager Fialho suggested bringing the matter to the City Council in December as part of the <br /> Council's committee assignments. <br /> In response to Councilmember Brown's inquiry regarding Water and Sewer Connection Fees, City <br /> Manager Fialho reported it will be identified as a City Council priority in the next two year work plan. <br /> COUNCIL REPORTS <br /> Mayor Thorne reported attending the League of California Cities Board of Directors meeting as well as <br /> the General Conference in Long Beach. He congratulated Councilmember Pentin for being elected as <br /> Second Vice President of the East Bay Division. <br /> Councilmember Brown reported working at East Bay Stand Down, an event which provides the veteran <br /> community a variety of services. <br /> Councilmember Pentin reported a team has been deployed from the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire <br /> Department to the Carolinas to assist victims of Hurricane Florence. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:49 p.m. The Council extended a <br /> tribute to our nation's men and women serving in the military.
