District Agreement No. 04-2655 <br /> EXHIBIT B <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> This Scope of Work outlines the specific areas of responsibility for completion of the <br /> Continuous Deflective Separator(CDS)Unit project within the CITY's public service <br /> easement,which includes environmental compliance, contract design development, <br /> construction administration,maintenance, and reporting requirements. <br /> Section 1. (CDS)Unit Project <br /> A)CITY shall design, administer/construct and implement a project that captures and <br /> removes trash from CITY's drainage system adjacent to Interstate 680 and Bernal <br /> Avenue. The CDS Unit, attached and made a part of this scope of work, shall provide <br /> stormwater treatment for a minimum of 92 acres of equivalent of highway impervious <br /> surface2. <br /> B)The CDS Unit consists of the following elements: <br /> 1. Retrofit of existing drainage system <br /> 2. Drainage structures to allow the inflow of stormwater into the CDS Unit and the <br /> outflow from the CDS Unit into CITY drainage system <br /> 3. Construction of CDS Unit <br /> Section 2. Environmental Compliance <br /> A) CITY shall be the California Environmental Quality Act(CEQA) Lead Agency and <br /> CALTRANS will be the CEQA responsible agency for the CDS Unit project which <br /> shall be located outside of CALTRANS right of way. CITY shall be responsible for <br /> the preparation of the environmental documentation to comply with CEQA. <br /> CALTRANS shall review, comment, and concur(if applicable)with the <br /> environmental document. <br /> B)CITY shall obtain all necessary permits, agreements, or approvals from the applicable <br /> regulatory agencies for implementation of the CDS Unit as described in Section 1 of <br /> this Exhibit. <br /> C)CITY shall not construct the CDS Unit within any jurisdictional waters or wetlands. <br /> Section 3. CDS Unit Project Design Development <br /> A)CITY shall prepare the Plans, Specifications and Estimates(PS&E)in accordance <br /> with guidelines, design standards, and requirements approved by the CITY, for the <br /> installation of the CDS Unit as outlined in Section 1 above. The PS&E completion <br /> shall be within two years starting the effective date of this AGREEMENT. <br /> 2 The final CDS unit installed may be of a different model than the one shown in Exhibit B but shall meet or <br /> exceed the same treatment requirements. <br /> Page 11 of 13 <br />
