in the contract not required for the installation of the pipe. A total of $52,350 in four
change orders was issued to address changes to the project. The changes included: the
City standard specified service line material was no longer provided by the
manufacturer; increased pavement repairs; extending the limits of slip-lining the pipe
under the railroad tracks and changing from cured-in-place liner to installing FPVC; and
additional time and material work to modify the tie-in work at Stanley and Main Street,
allowing a line item from the project bid to be deleted.
The final project funding and expenditures are summarized in Attachment 1, indicating a
total project expenditure of$2,224,705 including $8,498 to remain in the project account
leaving a remaining fund balance of $427,850. A total of $8,498 is recommended to
remain in the project account to pay for the forthcoming invoices for completion of
record drawings by Pakpour Consulting Group. Once final invoices are received,
Finance will be notified to close out the project and return the remaining funds to the
fund balance. Staff recommends the transfer of the remaining balance back to the
Water Fund Surplus Reserve.
The Annual Water Main Replacement CIP project budget is shared between the
Engineering Department and the Operations Services Department (OSD) Utilities
Division to address water main replacement and repairs. Funding was allocated for
work completed by the Operations Services Department for FY 2017/18. OSD has
completed their work and confirmed the remaining project balance can be returned to
the fund balance.
Submitted by: Fiscal Review: Approved/by:
(-`-'111 (sLCLI
(-A /Lilt/
Stephen Kirkpatrick Tina Olson Nelson Fialho
Director of Engineering Director of Finance City Manager
Attachments:
1.
