• Facilitate interaction between incubator companies and city economic development <br /> staff <br /> • Provide regular updates on key metrics related to startup incubation, such as the <br /> number of member companies, capital raised, jobs created, and others as <br /> requested. <br /> Events and Programs: Events and programs are an effective way to build community <br /> and enhance connectivity among entrepreneurs. The focus of i-GATE's events and <br /> programs is to facilitate shared learning and network building opportunities for local <br /> entrepreneurs. Toward this, i-GATE will: <br /> • Design and execute events that are valuable and relevant to local entrepreneurs, <br /> with an emphasis on important local industries <br /> • Coordinate with economic development staff to identify possible venues for <br /> hosting events <br /> • Identify speakers and other resources to participate in the events <br /> • Conduct financial management of the events. <br /> Branding and Community Engagement: Branding the Tri-Valley as a significant hub <br /> of innovation and entrepreneurship is important to attracting talent and companies to the <br /> region. i-GATE is uniquely positioned to play a leading role in establishing this brand <br /> through data driven narratives and success stories. Toward this, i-GATE will: <br /> • Routinely collect and share data pertaining to the health of the Tri-Valley tech <br /> and startup ecosystem <br /> • Work with economic development staff to craft relevant messaging <br /> • Operate the Startup Tri-Valley virtual community to facilitate network building. <br /> As a Municipal Partner, the City of Pleasanton will promote its partnership with i-GATE <br /> to serve as a source for aspiring entrepreneurs and tech professionals, identify focus <br /> areas for events and programs, and collaborate with i-GATE leadership to identify <br /> relevant themes for branding. <br /> The City's economic development initiatives would benefit from continued participation <br /> in i-GATE.
