RESOLUTION NO. 18-1038 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, <br /> TO ADOPT RATES FOR SOLID WASTE, RECYCLABLE MATERIALS, AND <br /> ORGANIC MATERIALS COLLECTION SERVICES <br /> WHEREAS, on March 20, 2018 the City Council voted to approve and entered <br /> into a Franchise Agreement between the City of Pleasanton and Pleasanton Garbage <br /> Service Inc. for Solid Waste, Recyclable Materials, and Organic Materials collection <br /> services; and <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 9.20.090 of the City of Pleasanton <br /> Municipal Code, rates for Franchise services shall be set by a resolution approved by <br /> the City Council of the City of Pleasanton; and <br /> WHEREAS, Pleasanton Garbage Service, Inc. shall conduct all billing related to <br /> collection, transportation, recycling and disposal of said Solid Waste, Recyclable <br /> Materials, and Organic Materials in strict accordance with rates listed in this <br /> Resolutions. <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council determined that the 13.3% decrease in expenses <br /> negotiated in the Franchise Agreement would be applied to reducing collection rates. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER <br /> THE FOLLOWING: <br /> SECTION 1: The fee schedule set forth in Resolution 14-667 and Resolution 16- <br /> 904 is hereby rescinded. <br /> SECTION 2: The rates for the collection, transport, and disposal of Solid Waste, <br /> Recyclable Materials, and Organic Materials from the City of Pleasanton for <br /> Commercial/Multi-Family Services, Residential Services and for Transfer Stations <br /> Services, are revised as of July 1, 2018 as outlined in Exhibit A <br /> SECTION 3: Rates will go into effect on July 1, 2018. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of <br /> Pleasanton at a special meeting held on July 3, 2018. <br /> I, Karen Diaz, City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton, California, certify that the <br /> foregoing resolution was adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting held on the , <br /> by the following vote: <br />
