CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 7/~ <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE ADDING ARTICLE 14 TO CHAPTER 2 (SPECIAL <br /> PERMITS), TITLE IV (HEALTH, SAFETY, MORAL, AND GENERAL <br /> WELFARE) OF THE ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> RELATING TO COLLECTION OF EFFLUENT. <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. Article 14 (Collection of Effluent) is hereby <br />added to Chapter 2, Title IV of the Ordinance Code of the City <br />of Pleasanton to read as follows: <br /> <br /> Article 14. COLLECTION OF EFFLUENT <br /> <br /> Sec. 4-4.50 Collection Contract <br /> <br /> The City Council may contract with any person and grant <br /> to such person the exclusive right and privilege to collect, <br /> transport, remove and/or dispose of effluent and waste mater- <br /> ial produced, kept and/or accumulated in private or public <br /> sewage disposal systems, permitted by Article 3, Chapter 8, <br /> Title II of this Code, within the territorial boundaries <br /> of the City of Pleasanton. The City may grant such contract <br /> upon such terms and conditions as the Council may, from time <br /> to time, determine to be for the best interests of the City. <br /> It shall be unlawful for any person, other than such contractcr <br /> and/or dis- <br /> authorized by City, to collect, transport, remove, <br /> pose of any effluent and waste material produced kept and/or <br /> accumulated within such territorial boundaries. <br /> <br /> Section 2. This Ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) <br />days after its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> Section 3. This Ordinance shall be published once within <br />fifteen (15) days after its adoption in "THE TIES," a newspaper <br />of general circulation, published in the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> INTRODUCED at the regular meeting of the City Council of the <br />City of Pleasanton on October 29, 1973. <br /> <br /> ADOPTED at the regular meeting of the City Council of the <br /> <br /> <br />
