~ 1-6.33 Repeals. Ordinance No. 261, as amended by Ordinance No. 333, is hereby repealed; provided, however, that said or- dinance, as amended, shall remain applicable for the purposes of the administration of said ordinance and the imposition of and the collection of tax with respect to the sales of, and the storage, use, or other consumption of tangible personal property prior to January 1, 1974, the making of refunds, effecting ~ credits, the disposition of monies collected, and for the com- mencement or continuance of any action or proceeding under said ordinance. Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its introduction as an urgency ordinance necessary to pro- tect the public peace, health and safety. The facts surrounding this urgency is the necessity that the above ordinance be trans- mitted to the State Board of Equalization for their review and .approval in order that an agreement may be executed between the ~tate and the City by January 1, 1974 which allows for the ransmittal of the City's portion of Sales Tax Revenues by the State Board of Equalization. If the above mentioned agreement is not executed by January 1, 1974, the City will lose substantial .evenues which are necessary for the on-going functioning of the ~ity and its various departments. Section 3. This ordinance shall be published once within fifteen (15) days after its adoption in "THE TIMES", a newspaper Df general circulation, pubIished in the City of Pleasanton.
