Ordinance No. 2178 <br /> Page 2 <br /> WHEREAS, in order to help finance the construction of the JDEDZ Street <br /> Improvements, the City Council wishes to adopt a JDEDZ Transportation Fee. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION 1. The City Council adopts the findings set forth in Exhibit A. <br /> SECTION 2. The Pleasanton Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding a <br /> new Chapter 3.44 to Title 3 to read as set forth in Exhibit B. <br /> SECTION 3. This ordinance establishes a framework to impose a fee to fund <br /> specified capital projects which were considered by the City in the Supplemental <br /> Environmental Impact Report for the Johnson Drive Economic Development Zone, <br /> certified by Resolution No. 17-976. Therefore, no further environmental review is <br /> required pursuant to 14 Cal Code Regs § 15273(b). <br /> SECTION 4. A summary of this ordinance shall be published once within fifteen <br /> (15) days after its adoption in "The Valley Times," a newspaper of general circulation <br /> published in the City of Pleasanton, and the complete ordinance shall be posted for <br /> fifteen (15) days in the City Clerk's office within fifteen (15) days after its adoption. <br /> SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be effective thirty (60) days after its passage <br /> and adoption. <br /> The foregoing Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council <br /> of the City of Pleasanton on April 17, 2018 by the following vote. <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Narum, Pentin, Vice Mayor Olson <br /> Noes: None <br /> Absent: None <br /> Abstain: Mayor Thorne <br /> Recuse: Councilmember Brown <br /> And adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Pleasanton on <br /> May 15, 2018 by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: <br /> Noes: <br /> Absent: <br /> Abstain: <br /> Arne Olson, Vice Mayor <br />
