Consider adoption of a resolution approving the Emergency Operations Plan update City Manager Fialho noted this item is a requirement of State law in order to remain eligible for State and Federal funds, and deferred to Chris Gotley, Director of Emergency Services, Eco Tech. Mr. Gotley presented details of the City's Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) addressing Background, the Emergency Management Cycle, EOP Purpose, Format, Key Features, and Next Steps. In response to Councilmember Pentin's question regarding the GE Plant Storage Facility, Mr. Gotley reported the quantity of material stored there on an on-going basis does not rise to the level of significance. In further response to Councilmember Pentin, City Manager Fialho stated staff has already been trained and another twenty-five will be trained this year. Councilmember Narum commented on training and asked whether there was discussion about lessons learned other natural disasters. Mr. Gotley noted significant concerns were included in the plan. Vice Mayor Olson noted there were no speakers to address this item. MOTION: It was m/s by Narum/Brown to adopt and waive full reading of Resolution No. 18-1006 adopting the 2018 City of Pleasanton Emergency Operation Plan.
